A Weekend Getaway

My family and I were invited by our friends for a weekend retreat at their place in Laggan, about a 2-hour drive North of where we live. This would be our first family trip since the lockdown of 2020 so this break from the mundane is much needed, and to be in the company of friends makes it all the better!

As mentioned previously, I used to rock a Sony Alpha DSLR many years ago. Since then, I have sold it and bought a Second-hand Sony NEX-5N Mirrorless with an 18-55mm kit lens. At this point, I have used the NEX-5N for a few years now so I’d like to think I know my way around it. It was this trip that made me want to invest in another lens, most specifically, a prime lens.

As we make our way on the road, I can’t help but admire Scotland's natural beauty. From the majestic Highlands with their rugged mountains and serene lochs to the stunning coastline with its dramatic cliffs and pristine beaches, Scotland offers a diverse landscape that never fails to captivate visitors. The lush greenery of the countryside, dotted with charming villages and historic castles, creates a picturesque backdrop that is straight out of a fairytale. I can say that Scotland's beauty is bound to leave you spellbound.

These thoughts continued to stay with me throughout the weekend as we continue to explore, be in fellowship with each other and look into God’s Word together.
